From Passion To Purpose

How a quiet hobby became a purpose-filled way to bring calm and joy to others.

A Fresh Start with Crochet

Life’s twists and turns can leave us searching for peace and purpose. Through crochet, I discovered a creative outlet that brought calm to the overwhelming changes of navigating the unknown.

Flight Path From Texas To Kenya

When God Asked Us to Begin Again

During the height of the COVID pandemic, my husband and I followed God’s call to leave Texas for Kenya. I went from working in tech to learning how to be a stay-at-home mom in a new country.
Starting over came with both peace and uncertainty, but somewhere between those two worlds, God began showing me that this pause wasn’t an ending, it was an invitation.

Crochet Became My Anchor

When I started crocheting again, it was my way to unwind and calm my thoughts, bringing a quiet joy that I didn’t know I’d been missing.
Living in the Kenyan countryside meant I had to find a new place to purchase safety eyes , stuffing, and yarn. I didn’t know this would become the spark for a whole new design approach.

From Challenge To Calling

The limitations I faced made me wonder if there were other crocheters like me: women balancing full days, seeking moments of calm, and in need of crochet patterns that just make it easy. That’s when Patterns by Patsy was born.
Now I design crochet amigurumi animals that only use yarn and a bit of fiberfill. No safety eyes or other complicated materials.

The Heart Behind Patterns by Patsy

I structure my crochet amigurumi animal patterns with Peaceful Progressions, easy-to-follow sections designed to be completed in about an hour. Whether you’re crocheting during nap time, between work breaks, or at the end of a long day, you can make progress without stress.
And because every crocheter learns differently, I also include video tutorials with step-by-step photos where they help most so you can make the right stitches at the right time.

“For I know the plans I have for you, ‘declares the Lord,’ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plan to give you hope and a future.
