Building Your Skills: Stitch Progression 2

This second progression has 5 skills that can be practiced continuously.
After you make your magic ring, put a few single crochets in it and just keep crocheting!

The Magic Ring

The magic ring is like the slip knot because it’s an adjustable loop. Instead of putting the loop around your hook, you crochet into it.

Crochet In Rounds

This is usually done after making a magic ring, crocheting around your work by joining each round or continue in a spiral.

Single Crochet Increase

Sometimes you need more stitches in a row/round to make it bigger and increasing will help you achieve this.

Single Crochet Decrease

Sometimes you need less stitches in a row/round. Decreasing can do that for you, and learning with single crochet is a good start.

Invisible Decrease

You may notice a gap when you increase/decrease. This is normal but sometimes you want that gap is disappear and the invisible decrease can help.

One more progression!

Just a few more skills to learn and you’re done!
